About me

Mona Friis Bertheussen
Director and Producer
My number one goal as a director is to make films that will move people's hearts and minds. Film can motivate people to change their lives, and bring new insights into themselves and the world around them. I go whole-heartedly into every story, encouraging myself and my viewers to look at life a little differently.
My documentaries have been broadcast all over the world, received international awards, record-breaking ratings and featured in various film festivals. I'm the owner of the production company Moment Film, based in Oslo, Norway.
My award-winning documentary film Twin Sisters won the prestigious Audience Award at IDFA in Amsterdam, considered the biggest documentary film festival in the world.
After the win, the film took off on an amazing journey around the world, reaching an estimated 20 million viewers.
Twin Sisters has so far received 11 film awards, and it has been sold to more than 30 TV stations worldwide. The most prestigious sales are to PBS in the United States, BBC in England, CBC in Canada, and NHK in Japan.
